Much clamors and hate voices against Israel have been heard from many quarters around the globe on the recent failed attempt by the termed Marmara flotilla ships of Turkish origin heading to Gaza in the name of freeing Gaza people from the three years blockade of the strip by the Israeli Government. For much of these calls marked by media campaigns and demonstrations in some countries around the globe; and even the most obvious of all the UN emergency assembly meeting in reaction to the Flotilla which finally demanded Israel to freeze the blockage, few people are aware of the corollary on the international community of any Israeli release of checks at the Gaza strip.
The eight ships from Turkey had planned to move into Gaza for humanitarian reasons as they claim but it is not clear what humanitarian objectives they had. In a general understanding and global believe, it was neither an expedition sponsored by the Turkish government nor was it in the name of the Turkish even though when the vessels’ passage was intercepted, it became clear that the Turkish state was in full support of the vessels illegal voyage to Gaza. If really it was an attempt by the Turkish government in disguise to undermine Israel’s right to protect its border from threats from the terrorist regime of Hamas supported by the brutal and tyrannical regime of Ahmadinejad in Iran then surely such must be considered a manifestation of anti-Semitism by the government of Turkey against a civilized state like Israel. It is quite obvious that Israel had announced its refusal to allow any ship passages into Gaza by sea with clear reasons understandable by any sane and rational mind. Whether such ships were for humanitarian reasons or any other reasons as intended by its originators, it is clear that the state of Israel had made its legitimate call for a stop of the flotilla ships whose unchecked entrance was certainly a threat to Israel’s internal security. In spite of arguments made by so called humanitarian activists that Israel first provoked the fight that killed eight of their members, it is apparently evident that Israeli commandos first came under attack by the activists.
On a just note, and to ascertain the suspicious campaign in the name of flotilla, Israel had accepted to allow transportation of so called humanitarian goods into Gaza by land but the activists did not succumb to Israel’s demand rather they insisted to break the sea blockade in disobedience and violation of Israel’s rights and vital security interest. There is no doubt that the flotilla mission had an undercover agenda. They were not out to help the people of Gaza even if they were, their ulterior motives and vested interest was anti-Semitic. The resultant deaths were an anticipated move and well planned motive to create a stage in which criticism against Israel will be raised. The vulnerability that led to loss of lives was a premeditated agenda by the activists to justify their aggressive style humanitarian mission. The move was intended to undermine Israel’s call for help against the Hamas terrorist organization who are perpetually on the move to see the total destruction of the people of Israel.
The flotilla activists were evidently a bunch of anti-Semites who were out to accomplish the inhuman dream of Iran of wiping out Israeli people off the map of the earth. With the evident backup by the Turkish government to the Flotilla mission, it is sure that the Ahmadinejad and Hamas’ agenda to wipe Israel off the world map seem to be gaining support from Turkey. If Turkey is a civilized democracy as it claims to be then it would not have in any way what so ever condone the flotilla mission which is ultimately gives Hamas a reason d’ĂȘtre to undermine Israel. Hamas is creating untold sufferings for the people of Gaza and making it seem as though it were Israel’s fault. The human rights conditions in Gaza have worsen since Hamas formed a government in Palestine. Hamas’ members live in luxury houses and drive in luxury cars while subjecting Gaza inhabitants to wallow in poverty and squalor yet the world’s eyes are closed to this. The Hamas regime diverts donations and aids for humanitarian purposes in Gaza for the purchase of arms and armories to destroy Israel. Hamas has created artificial humanitarian crises in Gaza as a way of discrediting Israel with a bad image in the international community.
All kinds of media propaganda awash the international press after Israel stopped the flotilla ships but very little has been understood about the kind of ill-treatment the Hamas terrorist regime manifest on the people of Palestine. The questions are is Israel actually opposed to a viable and independent Palestinian state? If Israel was opposed to a Palestinian state then its tactics would have been to eliminate Palestinians or to subject them to Israeli authority but that is not the case. Sick Palestinians get treated in Israeli hospitals, students from Palestine school in Israeli colleges, and job seekers from Palestine go get jobs in Israel as long as they do it in peace. Israel does not have any problem with the Palestinian people (despite the land issue) but it has a problem with the Hamas terrorist regime which constitutes the main problem of humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Israelis undoubtedly are a minority people in the Middle East. They suffer threats from multiple sides. With Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Palestine and Iran in the Persian Gulf, the country is forced to adopt courteous steps to protect its people from mounting threats by these groups who vehemently want to see the termination of the Jewish people. Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. It is the only country that holds periodic free and fair elections in which it elects leaders that are accountable to their people and the only nation that has a credible record of civil liberty and respect for fundamental human rights of its people. It is only Israel that has a free and open press in the whole region. The state of Israel accommodates Muslims, Jews and Christians on an equal basis with each freely practicing their religions without state intervention. Which other country in the region guarantees such freedoms? By virtue of Israel’s close ties with the United States as a democracy, it is being hated and targeted by cruel and autocratic leaders like the Iranian president Ahmadinejad and his associate groups Hezbollah and Hamas who oppose democracy in the Middle East and continue to sponsor terrorist activities that fuel instability in the region. Instability in the Middle East is of benefit to Iran because Ahmadinejad hypocritically exploits such situations as diversionary tactics to consolidate his grip on power and oppress the citizens and oppositions of Iran who call for democratic change. They formulate fictitious claims against democratic activities mostly advanced by their targets like USA and Israel. Besides sponsoring insurgent activities to destabilize the ongoing rebuilding and democratization process in Iraq, Ahmadinejad and his associates continually provide arms and financial support to terrorist groups to target civilized ideas in the region.
The world is oblivious of the terrible acts committed by Ahmadinejad’s regime during the recent election that were marked by massive frauds and gruesome killings. The death of 26-year-old Neda Agha-Soltan the iconic victim of the Iranian government crackdown who got killed in cold blood by the Iranian tyrannical regime echoed a terrible sound round the civilized world but had just soon melted down by contradictory rejections of accusations by the Iranian regime. Is the world not aware of Ahmadinejad’s perpetuation of the gruesome execution of Reza Ali Zamani and Arash Rahmani Pour who were termed as enemies of God (Mohareb)? Are the world’s humanitarian activists blind of the cruel killing by hanging of five teenage boys for participating in the anti-Ahmadinejad demonstration after the fraudulent elections? Why is the world silent about Iran’s killing by hanging of women who oppose the government? Is the world not aware of the terrible human rights abuse and suppression of the press and free speech in Iran? Iranian women have been subjugated and ill-treated under cruel laws that deny them their rights to express themselves. In Iran a women don’t have a voice and a clear example is the killing of Neda and many other women dissidents who are said to be enemies of God. They are rather treated more like slaves or birds in cages and cows in ranches. How could the world close its eyes to this fashion of activities? Iran is a country that kills its own citizens for expressing their opinions and rights. The regime executes its citizens for criticizing the government and supporting an opposition party that supports human rights, fair hearing in courts, free press, justice and equality for women. Iran recently established an international cable network station called Press TV which represents and promotes the self centered ideas of Ahmadinejad. Press TV is nothing but a mere propaganda tool to undermine Israel and promote international hate against Israel America and Europe.
Iran is currently being criticized by some countries for its suspicious nuclear weapon program. Imagine a cruel and intolerant country like Iran that calls for the termination of a human race (Israel) created by God almighty, possessing nuclear arms. Then after wiping Israel, it will proceed to eliminate the Saudis and then USA and the whole of Western Europe. The recent halt by Israel of the flotilla ships raised lots of global outcry. Yes deaths occurred and that is not right by any sense. Some governments especially that of Turkey and Iran termed the Flotilla stoppage as state terrorism. There is no doubt that such a judgment is absolutely an unjust one and of course an anti-Semitic disposition. Imagine yourself living in Israel and terrorists fire rockets on civilian population by the minutes. Is it that Israelis don’t have the right to live as a people or it does not deserve to protect its internal security as any country would? Place Turkey or Iran in the shoe of Israel, would it have allow any foreign encroachment into its vital territory without check? The bombardment by Turkey on the Kurdish people in Northern Iraq or the gruesome killing by Iran of its civilian population is a clear indication that if they were in Israel’s place they would have not only stopped the flotilla ships but bombed and destroyed them out of the face of the earth. If Turkey’s mastermind of the flotilla mission is a shift in its policy towards supporting the hash regime in Iran, then it equally supports Hamas and Hezbollah against Israel. This should be a clear warning to Europe which is still contemplating membership for Turkey into the European Union. The stoppage of the flotilla vessels was a plan to create hate opinions against Israel.
Without any doubt, any country in the world would take the same decision Israel took to stop the flotilla. If the flotilla was an honest mission meant to rescue suffering Palestinians as it claimed, they would have followed through land as demanded by Israel or allow check of the vessels. If they were truly humanitarians, they would not have equipped themselves with knifes, clubs, pistols and harmful materials. I am that the flotilla activists are aware that the humanitarian crises in North Korea are of higher concern than that which is artificially created by Hamas in Gaza. The Flotilla humanitarian missions should go into Iran and rescue the starving population being subdued by the highhandedness of Ahmadinejads regime or go to refugee camps in Africa and give help to women and children who spend days if not weeks without food to eat or good water to drink. Millions of civilians mostly women and children are starving to death in refugee camps in Darfur and no Flotilla has thought to rescue them from the ruthless regime of Umar Al Bashir. Are the Flotilla humanitarians not aware of the millions of deaths orchestrated by Ahmed Al-Bashir in Sudan? Where are the flotilla activists when tyrants kill their fellow in Iran, Palestine and Sudan? Why are some people so paranoid about Israel when they are far more serious cases to look into? When they are worse humanitarian crises causing untold sufferings on fellow human beings in Africa why are some people so myopic not to talk about the truth? These people hide under the guise of religion to perpetrate the worst atrocities. The truth must be known and defended.
